A new scheme has been launched to offer residents of Horry County discount dental care.

The new programme has been launched by the Careington International Corportation, in conjunction with the National Association of Counties (NACo) and will benefit hundreds of residents in the county.

The new dental discount card has been designed to help those without insurance and those with policies that do not cover major dental work; the card will reduce the cost of treatment by between 20 and 50 percent and will also give patients a 20 percent discount on orthodontic treatments. The card is available for just 59 dollars a year or $6.95 per month.

The discount card has been designed to be easy to use; there are no additional forms to fill in and patients simply have to present their card to their dentist in order to receive the discounted price. The cards are available at numerous outlets in the county and residents are being encouraged to get involved in the programme.

The new scheme will come as welcome news for residents in the county, with a large proportion of people struggling to afford dental care. The cost of treatment can be extremely high and many people simply do not have the money to cover these costs; without insurance they have no option but to go without the treatment.
