Mydentist to close Bath practice

Sample News Big

Dental chain, mydentist, has announced that it will close one of its Bath practices in September.

Patients who are registered with the Rush Hill practice have been sent a letter informing them that the practice will close on the 30th September. Mydentist claims that it is not possible to sustain the clinic any longer as a result of running costs and problems recruiting new dentists.

Patients who are undergoing treatment, which will not be completed by the closing date, have been advised that they will be offered care at a nearby practice in Walywyn Close, Twerton. Although this is an option, dentists claim that they expect all courses of treatment to be finished by the end of September.

The letter also mentioned plans for NHS England to find a new NHS provider for the local area, and mydentist representatives apologised for any inconvenience the closure may cause. The Walywyn Close clinic is located around 1.4 miles away from the Rush Hill surgery. Further information about a new NHS contract will be provided by NHS England in the coming weeks.

Anyone who is worried about finding a new practice is advised to contact the NHS helpline or visit the NHS Choices website to look for local practices who are taking on new NHS patients.
