Morristown church launches new dental centre

Sample News Big

The First Baptist Church in Morristown, East Tennessee, has officially opened a new dental centre.

The new centre, called First Love on Main, will provide dental care for anyone who meets the federal poverty guidelines. The building has been donated by members of the church and nine volunteer dentists have offered their time and services.

Senior Pastor Dr Dean Haun said that the centre has been established to help the poor; without the help of churches and charitable organisations, many people would go without the basic medical and dental care they need. The First Love on Main centre will also offer advice and information about housing, employment and legal services.

The new dental centre will target those in desperate need of help; many poor people have extensive dental health problems because they cannot afford dental treatment and often go for years without seeing a dentist. The clinic will provide dental treatment free of charge for these people and give them the opportunity to enjoy good oral health.
