Mobile dental van ‘provides cheaper care’

Sample News Big

A new mobile way to look after teeth is being used in the US, it has been reported.

The Ithaca Journal comments that the American Mobile Dental van appears every Monday at a different Tompkins County location.

It states that the scheme has been set up in order to help people who cannot make it to a traditional dentist due to money, health and transportation issues.

Those who take advantage of the initiative can also receive one-third off the cost of treatment, the news source added.

According to Judy Hoffman, district head nurse for the schools in the area, "[the van] is like a dental cline on wheels".

A similar project recently visited Toledo, Ohio. The Medical Teams International Dental van arrived at Toledo High School and treated ten to 12 students on Thursday 31st January.ADNFCR-1374-ID-18466584-ADNFCR
