Melton Dental Team Takes To The Court for Charity Netball Match

A dental team from Melton downed their dental drills last week to take part in a game of netball against a local team in aid of charity.

Dentists, nurses and reception staff from High Street Dental Care took on the Melton Marvels in a friendly, yet competitive, game. The game was held in aid of the cardiac intensive care unit at Glenfield Hospital.

The match raised more than £750 and everyone had a great time. The team worked and played hard and everyone gave it a good go, even though some members were playing netball for the first time.

Stefan Kaczmarczyk, one of the dentists who was involved in setting up the match, said that the game was played in great spirit and everyone had fun, as well as contributing to a really important and worthwhile cause. The practice team chose the charity because the hospital provided care for Mr Kaczmarczyk when he had open heart surgery earlier this year.
