Leicester Dentist Teams Up With Local Press To Offer Oral Health Advice
A Leicestershire dentist has teamed up with a local newspaper to provide readers with advice and information about oral health issues.
Dr Adam Patel has joined forces with the Leicester Mercury to answer reader’s questions and offer advice about oral hygiene, dental treatments and oral health problems.
Dr Patel will have a regular column in the newspaper’s health section to help inform the people of Leicester about oral health. His column will be published every Monday and readers are invited to send in their questions and queries.
The column is aiming to make a huge difference to the locals by enabling them to learn more about oral health and to answer any questions they may have regarding dental treatments.
Dr Patel said that it is imperative that we understand the importance of good oral health, especially as studies have shown that poor oral health is linked to an increased risk of many other serious health problems, including digestive issues, heart disease and strokes.
The newspaper column will be informative and educational but has been stressed that it should not be used as a replacement for the attendance of regular check-ups.
