Kirriemuir Dental Team Requests Last-Minute Donations for Toy Appeal

Sample News Big

A dental team from Kirriemuir has launched a last-minute push for donations to a Christmas toy appeal.

Kirriemuir Dental Practice is collecting donations from local residents to help spread festive cheer this Christmas and help children who don’t expect a lot at Christmas to enjoy the festive season. The Angus Toy Appeal launched in 2004 with the tagline ‘Help us make a child’s dream of Santa stay alive’.

The team from Kirriemuir dental practice has been encouraging patients to buy one extra toy when they do their Christmas shopping. This will be donated to a local child who has been referred to the appeal by Angus Council. Initially, the campaign was run by a small group of local volunteers, but it’s now supported by families, schools and businesses in the area and more and more children are benefiting from the kindness of others. When the appeal first started, around 40 children received presents and this has grown to more than 400.
