King’s College London tops Guardian’s University Guide for Dentistry

King’s College London has been awarded top spot for Dentistry in the Guardian’s University Guide 2012.

The Guardian ranked the dental schools in the UK in order of teaching excellence and  King’s College London came first with 100 out of 100.

Nairn Wilson, dean of King’s College London Dental Institute and deputy vice principal for Health said the members of staff at the institute were thrilled to top the list and be given a perfect score for teaching excellence.

Wilson said the achievement was a “great team effort” and praised the work of staff at the institute.

King’s College London was deemed the best institute with Glasgow University in second place, Cardiff University in third place and Queen’s, Belfast in fourth place.
