Kincardine Dental Practice has a new owner. Alison Hughes, the previous owner, has retired after spending more than 25 years at the practice.

Alison joined the practice as an associate dentist in 1990 and purchased the business in 1996. When she first took the reins, she modernised the building, creating a new reception area, updating the computer system and opening a second surgery within the practice. Expanding the practice enabled the team to take on more patients and the business started to grow quickly under Alison’s ownership. She took on an associate dentist and the practice went from strength to strength.

Alison decided to sell the practice and take retirement 38 years after starting her first dental job and 25 years after buying the clinic. The new owner, Dr Charles Parsons, has experience in running practices in the UK and South Africa and he was looking to take over an established business in Scotland.

Alison is now looking forward to spending more time with her husband and enjoying new adventures. She has plans to travel and devote more time to hobbies and interests but is looking forward to seeing patients and staff around town and hearing news of how the practice has developed.

The acquisition was overseen by Christie & Co. Joel Mannix, from Christie Finance, wished Alison all the best as she takes retirement and passed on well wishes to Charles as he embarks upon a new adventure at the Scottish practice.
