Kidderminster Parents Encouraged To Look After Their Children’s Oral Health

Sample News Big

Parents in Kidderminster are being invited to attend informal sessions about oral health today at Tree Tops Children’s Centre.

Oral health experts will be attending the sessions, which run from 9.30am until 3.30 pm, to offer children dental checks and provide parents with information about oral hygiene, healthy eating and encouraging children to give up dummies at an early age. Dentists will also be able to give parents tips on weaning children off bottles and getting kids interested in cleaning their teeth. Information will also be available about oral health services in the local area and parents can find out which practices are taking on new patients.

The scheme has been set up by a number of organisations, including Barnardo’s, and Worcestershire County Council.

The sessions are open to all and parents are invited to take advantage of free leaflets and advice pamphlets. Kids will be able to play games and take part in fun activities, including a colouring competition with prizes.
