Kidderminster Community Dental Service Re-Opens Following Renovation

Sample News Big

Community Dental services are up and running in Kidderminster again following extensive renovation work. The services, which are run by Worcestershire Health Care and NHS Trust are now operating solely from Kidderminster Health Centre in Bromsgrove Road.

Previously, the service ran from two separate bases, one at the health centre and the other in Crown House. However, with plans emerging to overhaul the town centre and potentially demolish Crown House, the board took the decision to move all the services to the Kidderminster Health Centre.

In order to provide a more suitable setting for the service, the centre has undergone extensive refurbishment to create new waiting areas and a state of the art decontamination suite. Adaptations have also been made to enable the service to operate at weekends without having to open the entire health centre.

Clinical director Rod Smith said that the newly improved centre will provide a more efficient and effective service for the people of Kidderminster and thanked the dental teams from both settings and the builders and contractors for their cooperation and hard work during the renovation process.
