Kentucky practice reaches out to elderly patients

Sample News Big

A Kentucky dental practice is reaching out to the elderly by providing new services tailored to their needs.

The facility will cater specifically for the needs of elderly patients and will provide a range of treatments, including whitening treatments, general dental treatments, dentures, extractions and cleaning treatments. The practice will also offer minor surgery and dental bridges.

Reports have confirmed that elderly people often miss out on dental care, with a survey carried out in 2007 by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention confirming that only 58 percent of adults aged over 65 visited their dentist on a regular basis. Often, older people struggle to find affordable care; for those that don’t have dental insurance, it is difficult to find the money for even the most basic dental treatment.

The new facility will help to encourage older people in the Kentucky region to visit their dentist on a regular basis. There is no need for an appointment and the payment system has been designed to provide affordable care for those who have a low income, those without dental insurance and those who are retired.
