Kate Gosselin the Latest Star to Tweet about Dental Troubles
Kate Gosselin has become the latest star to share her dental troubles via the social media site, Twitter.
Gosselin, a former reality TV star and a well-known personality in the USA, followed in the footsteps of other Twitter users, Kim Kardashian, Stephen Fry and Kirstie Alley, to voice her concerns about visiting the dentist, after her temporary crown broke.
Kate said she was in a great deal of pain but had time to tweet her 70,000 followers before visiting her dentist in West Reading, Pennsylvania earlier this week. As well as sharing the news of the broken crown, Kate also revealed she was “so scared of the dentist” and appealed for her fans to wish her luck with the treatment session.
Kate is famed for being bullish and strong, however, she shares the fear of the dentist with a large proportion of the population. Surveys and polls consistently show that most people experience some degree of anxiety when faced with spending time in the dental chair and for some, the fear can be so severe that they avoid going to the dentist.
Kate had previously tweeted about having root canal treatment in September and said at the time that she was nervous about the procedure and would be making an effort to step up her hygiene routine in a bid to prevent dental problems in the future.
