Kansas Waiter Shows off Stunning New Smile Thanks to Customer’s Generous Tip
A waiter from Wichita, Kansas has showed off a stunning new smile after a customer left a very generous tip.
Brian Maixner was working at the Doo-Dah Diner when his attention to detail, friendliness and excellent service attracted a very generous tip from one of his customers. Mr Maixner, a single dad, had numerous missing teeth and suffered from decay at the time. However, just a few months later, he now has an amazing new smile.
Mr Maixner’s life was changed when customer Fred Boettcher spoke to the manager and left a tip that was big enough to pay for Maixner’s dental treatment. Mr Boettcher said that he was compelled to help the waiter due to his friendliness, optimism and enthusiasm.
When the owner informed Mr Maixner that the client had agreed to pay for dental treatment worth around $25,000, he was overcome with emotion and struggled to hold back tears. Following Mr Boettcher’s visit, Maixner started 2 months of dental treatment and he recently showed off the results.
Sporting a gleaming, healthy looking smile, Maixner has received a huge amount of media attention in the last few days and he admitted that his Facebook friend tally has soared, with many people wanting to learn more about the extraordinary story and see pictures of the outcome.
Mr Boettcher said that he was struck by Maixner’s kindness and felt for him, having suffered dental problems at an early age himself. Boettcher sent the waiter to his own dentist and he had his remaining teeth extracted, before having a denture fitted. In the coming months, he will have implant treatment and will be able to enjoy a beautiful smile for many years to come.
Mr Maixner said that he is still in complete shock at Mr Boettcher’s kindness.
