Indiana failing dental patients

Sample News Big

Leaders in Indiana are being called upon to improve dental care in the state after a study gave it a grade D when it comes to children’s oral health.

The study, which was conducted by Pew Children’s Dental Campaign, graded all the states in the US on the quality of their dental care and found that Indiana did very little to help children from low income families to access preventative dentistry treatments.

Indiana was revealed to be the one and only midwestern state which doesn’t fund dentists for giving preventive dental treatments to children from poor families.

It was also discovered that Indiana has failed to provide necessary information to a federal program which helps the government monitor dental health.

Pew’s study estimated that 17million American low-income kids could not access dental care.
