A husband and wife dental team from the north coast are investing a significant amount of money in a leading dental practice.

Long standing dentists Chris and Ruth Bloomer are to purchase Boyd & Logue, which has surgeries in both Coleraine and Portrush. The couple received finance from Ulster Bank to seal the deal.

Boyd & Logue has been operating on the north coast for nearly 45 years and has 20 employees. The Bloomers are already associated with the practice and wanted to take over the business once Mr Boyd and Mr Logue retired.

Mr Bloomer said that with so many staff, Boyd and Logue is a substantial practice and offers dental services to thousands of patients across the two surgeries. He said that he and Ruth are very pleased to acquire such a well-run organisation and they see it as a great platform to grow the business even further, especially in Portrush, where they eventually plan to expand the surgery.

He also expressed his gratitude to Ulster Bank for their expertise and support in helping them acquire the practice.

Leona McNicholl, relationship manager at Ulster Bank, said that Boyd & Logue had been a client of the bank for more than four decades, so they were delighted to finance the purchase.
