A dental clinic in Horncastle is now accepting new patients just one year after facing closure.

Kordel House Dental Practice, which was formerly mydentist, has overcome a staffing shortage and is now facing a much brighter future. Just 12 months ago, it was thought that the practice would have to close due to recruitment issues, but now, the story is very different, and the team is even accepting new patients.

The turnaround has been facilitated by husband and wife team, Dr Smitha Susan Mathew and Dr Manu Cherian, who took up the option to buy the practice when news of its uncertain future broke. Since then, the duo has recruited more members of staff, increasing appointment availability and enabling more local residents to join the register.

Dr Cherian said that he couldn’t believe that a year had passed by. In the last 12 months, the practice has gone from facing closure to registering new patients and offering a host of private and NHS services. More than 200 new patients have joined the practice, and the team is offering the latest cosmetic, aesthetic and orthodontic treatments, including anti-ageing services, Invisalign invisible braces and dental implants.

Despite the clinic’s rural location, Dr Cherian said that he sees the business as a cutting-edge, forward-thinking practice, which is committed to offering patients the best treatments and providing an enjoyable, relaxing experience.
