Health clinic set to offer dental services

The St Gabriel Health Clinic has announced that it will soon be expanding.

Patients visiting the centre have been welcomed by a sign saying, ‘coming soon- dental’, as the clinic plans to offer dental services in the near future. Construction is currently underway at the site and it is hoped that the service will be in place soon.

The St Gabriel Health Clinic plays an important role in the local community; it is a federally qualified health centre, which means staff are required to treat everyone, regardless of their financial situation and their plans for payment. The clinic receives payments from Medicaid and is supported by federal grants.

The new dental service will help to provide care for those who are struggling to access affordable dental care; currently, millions of patients across America are going without dental treatment because they don’t have dental insurance and can’t afford the rising costs of dental care.

The expansion of the clinic will also improve health provision and new offices will be created; the centre aims to be a focal point of the community and patients are encouraged to make the most of the services on offer.

Staff at the centre recognise the importance of good oral health and are keen to promote good oral hygiene and regular examinations; recent studies have shown that oral health has a major impact on general health and the St Gabriel Health Clinic will aim to improve standards of both general and oral health in the community.
