The dental team from The Raglan Suite in Harrogate is limbering up to take on a 10km run in aid of a local charity.

The team has been training for the challenge, which takes place in Harrogate town centre on July 5th, and the runners have set a target of £500 for St Michael’s Hospice.

Practice manager Claire Shields said that the run presented a great opportunity for the team to work together to raise money for a local cause. St Michael’s Hospice is known in the local area for providing incredibly high standards of care for patients with terminal illnesses and offering guidance and support for family members and close friends at what is a very difficult time and it was the natural choice when the staff members were discussing potential charities to support.

Dr Geoff Baggaley has run many marathons and fun-runs in his time, including the London and Boston marathons and has been offering tips and training advice to help his colleagues prepare for the event.

The team is hoping to reach the target of £500 for the hospice before the 5th July.
