Harborough Dental Practice Supports Local Music Charity

Sample News Big

A dental practice in Harborough is doing its bit for the local community by supporting a community music charity, which helps to enable people to enjoy music and develop their performance skills and confidence.

The Great Bowden Recital Trust provides help with fees for musical tuition for the youth in Northamptonshire and Leicestershire and runs a series of events and groups, including choirs, music groups and bands. The charity also hosts competitions, tours and workshops to enable performers to develop their skills.

Ed Moncrief, a dentist from 2nd Dental in Harborough, has a personal interest in the charity, as he is a member of the jazz band and sax choir. The practice has recently signed up to support the charity for the upcoming two years.

The charity is also being supported by Ed’s fellow musician and director at LE16, a public relation firm, Jane Smith.

Andrew Cartwright, chief executive of the Great Bowden Recital Trust, said that it is a great honour to have Ed and Jane on board, especially as they have firsthand experience of the difference the charity can make to local people. The financial commitment from the two local businesses enables the trust to move forward and make exciting plans for the future.
