Hadleigh dental practice owners submit expansion plans

Sample News Big

The owners of a dental practice in Hadleigh, Suffolk have submitted plans to expand.

The proposals outline plans to extend Hadleigh Dental by moving into 21 High Street. The practice currently occupies 17-19 High Street and would expand into the premises to create new surgeries.

If the plans get the green light, the clinic will house three additional surgeries, which will create nine new jobs and provide extended opening hours for patients. Currently, the practice only opens at the weekends once per month. The aim is to open every weekend to offer better out-of-hours services and provide more flexibility for patients.

The practice is the only NHS advanced trauma clinic in East Anglia. If the expansion is approved, the practice will be able to cater to many more patients at a time when it is increasingly difficult to get NHS dental appointments. There is a severe shortage of NHS dentists in Suffolk.

The application has been submitted to Babergh District Council. The accompanying statement, which was prepared by Box Valley, suggests that the growth plan would promote Hadleigh and support the local economy by creating new jobs for local people during a period of “economic uncertainty.”
