Officers from Greater Manchester Police have appealed for information following a break-in at Pristine Dental Laboratory in Farnworth.

Thieves broke into the laboratory in the early hours of Wednesday 31st August, taking specialist technical equipment, cash and laptops with them. CCTV footage, which has now been passed onto the force by the owner of the laboratory, shows thieves breaking through the door.

Director Naeem Lulat described the incident as a big loss, explaining that specialist equipment worth a lot of money had been stolen, in addition to cash and computers. Since the break-in, the firm has been forced to invest more money in new security measures and Mr Lulat confirmed that he has lost business. CCTV footage has been passed onto the police but so far there is very little information about the incident. Mr Lulat said that thieves broke into the building three times and were seen carrying equipment out of the laboratory on the cameras. He was forced to board up the window, which resulted in lost business as the firm relies on walk-in clients and many assume that the lab is closed.

Police officers have confirmed that this is the latest in a spate of incidents involving dental practices in the area.
