Gloucestershire Dental Firm to Create 17 New Jobs

A Gloucestershire dental manufacturer has announced the creation of 17 new jobs after investing more than £2.8 million into the firm.

Prima Dental, a dental instrument manufacturer, has recently secured its biggest order ever, securing a deal worth £1.5 million with a distributor in America. The company is using the revenue to invest in new machinery in response to increased demand for supplies.

Prima Dental currently employs 115 members of staff at the Quedgeley facility and executives have announced that 17 new jobs will be created as a result of additional investment. Managing Director, Richard Muller, said that the new investment will enable the firm to expand its exports service and delve into new international markets. The additional money will enable the firm to increased production in line with the increase in demand for products.

Muller said that the firm produces around 10 million products every year, but with the added investment, this should increase to around 13,000. According to figures, the firm has reported an average 20 percent year on year growth for the last five years.
