Glasgow dental practice scoops prestigious award
A Glasgow dental practice has become the first Scottish practice to scoop a prestigious industry award.
The Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry, based in Govan, was awarded Best Special Referral Practice 2010 at the Private Dentistry Awards ceremony in London.
Clinical Director, Dr Arshad Ali collected the award and said he was delighted that the centre had achieved the recognition the team hoped to bring when they established the facility in 2009. The state of the art three million pound facility boasts five surgeries, numerous treatment and consultation rooms and even a gym for members of staff to use. The centre has been recognised as one of the world’s leading dental centres; there are currently only 37 in the world and this is the only UK recipient outside of London.
Dr Ali set up the centre to provide the best quality standards of care in the country; he selected highly qualified dental professionals and now has a hugely successful team, which is reaping the rewards and gaining international recognition.
The Scottish Centre for Excellence in Dentistry also won Best Practice in Scotland at the Dentistry Awards and was highly commended in the Practice of the Year category at the Private Dentistry Awards.
