Gateshead Dental Team Prepare for Charity Challenge
A dental team from Gateshead are preparing to take on a gruelling cycle challenge to raise money for a good cause.
The team from Whickham Dental is all set for the Coast to Coast cycle challenge, which involves cycling 138 miles from Workington to Tynemouth in just one day. The team, which consists of dentists John Wykes, Andrew Dixon and Ian Davidson, is raising money for Grace House Hospice in Sunderland.
The dentists will be faced with elevation challenges with the route covering terrain from sea level to 2,000 feet. The Whickham Dental team will be out in force to support the three dentists, providing them with food and water along the way and cheering them on.
The practice supports a number of local charities and wanted to raise money for Grace House Hospice after seeing the incredible work they do.
The cycle challenge will take place on June 23rd and the team is still taking donations. The dentists are hoping to raise as much money as possible for the charity which is completely self-funded.
