Free Dental Clinics Help Hundreds In California

Hundreds of people have benefited from free dental clinics in California.

On Wednesday, three dental offices in California offered free dental care and another three clinics will host similar events this weekend. On Wednesday, California Dental offices in South Wittier, Oxnard and North Hollywood offered a range of free dental services and free clinics will take place in Tustin, Los Angeles, Upland and Glendale on Sunday.

President of California Dental, Dr Kamran Sahabi and his partner, Dr Michael Tafti, host free clinics twice a year at their seven offices across California with the aim of providing care for those in need.

On Wednesday, around one hundred people turned up outside the California Dental office in South Wittier. Among the crowds was 29 year old, Jerry Daniel, from Los Angeles. Mr Daniel said that he visited the clinic because he suffers from constant dental pain and can barely eat without experiencing severe toothache; he avoids sweets and cakes because they hurt his teeth and can only tolerate water. Daniel heard about the clinic and joined the crowds early on Wednesday morning to secure an appointment.

The California Dental teams offer a range of treatments, including fillings, tooth extractions, cleaning treatments and emergency root canal treatment.

The clinics are funded entirely by Drs Sahabi and Tafti.
