Free Dental Clinic To Take Place In Loma Linda On The 12th January

Dental treatment will be available to the residents of Loma Linda on the 12th January as part of the Dentistry from the Heart initiative.

The dental school of Loma Linda University will be hosting a free dental clinic from 6.30am on Sunday 12th January, with a limited number of appointments available. The clinic will run until all the appointments have been filled.

Basic treatments, including cleaning services, tooth extraction and fillings, will be on offer to allow dentists to see more patients; root canal treatment, denture treatment and crowns will not be available on the day. The system if first come, first serve and registration will begin at 6.30am; the team is anticipating large crowds and has urged people who want to see a dentist to start queuing early.

Children will not be treated without an accompanying adult and the aim is to treat those who cannot afford to see a regular dentist.

The clinic will be the university dental school’s 24th Dentistry from the Heart event; Dentistry from the Heart is a charity, which provides free dental services for thousands of people across America every year; dentists from all over the country volunteer their time and skills, usually for one or two days a year, in order to enable those without insurance or employment to get the treatment they need.
