Free dental care for children in Cumberland County
Children in Cumberland County will be invited to attend a free dental event in February.
Local dentists and businesses will join forces with the New Jersey Dental Association to provide free dental care for children as part of the national Give Kids a Smile programme, which is held every February.
The free clinic will be held on the 4th February and children without dental insurance and those from low income families will be offered free dental care. Treatments, such as extractions, routine examinations and fillings, will be available.
The aim of the clinic is to help children who would otherwise struggle to get treatment because their families cannot afford dental fees; however, organiser are also hoping to demonstrate to legislators how hard it is for families to pay for dental insurance policies and treatment.
Appointments are available now and treatments will be available by appointment only so families are urged to contact participating dentists as soon as possible.
