Fortis Global acquire 30 percent of Dental Corporation

Dental Corporation, the leading dental services provider in Australia and New Zealand, are to receive an investment of $100 million (approximately £65 million) from Fortis Global Healthcare Holdings Pte Ltd if approved by shareholders. Malvinder and  Shivinder Mohan Singh, who own Fortis Global will then receive a 30 percent share in ownership of the Corporation.

Since Dental Corporation’s business model has proven to improve patient outcomes increasing profits in Australia and  New Zealand, the Singh brothers intend to expand Dental Corporation’s interests beyond Australia and New Zealand to Asia. The investment for international expansion follows closely with a recent acquisition of Quality Healthcare Asia Ltd to grow Asian holdings.

Malvinder Mohan Singh, Fortis Global Healthcare executive chairman, says that, “Their [Dental Corporation’s] model of business partnership with principal dentists is a significant point of differentiation driving the success of the business and its rapid growth, while being the most effective way to manage high performing professionals”.

Through investment in Dental Corporation, Fortis Global receive a share in a network of 135 leading dental practices with solid management and potential for growth in patient services. Practices that have opted to partner through Dental Corporation gain administrative support, but still enjoy operational independence. Patients benefit from such partnership through shared expertise and best practice.
