Fireman to get gumshields
British firefighters could soon be wearing performance-enhancing gumshields after the craze took of across the Atlantic.
Athletes already use performance-enhancing mouthguards as they help increase strength and balance. Now other physically demanding professions are looking to utilises the benefits of the guards.
Nate Rhoda, a Nebraska fireman, claimed that he noticed a significant improvement in his, physical performance when he started to wear a gumshield at work.
He said that his strength had improved and claimed that he was able to work out for 30 to 40% longer.
