More than twenty fire fighters battled to contain raging flames at a dental practice in Orpington yesterday.

Fire crews were called to the practice, which is located on Crofton Roan in Orpington, at around 3.15pm on the 12th November; the ten people inside, including members of staff and patients, escaped without injuries before fire fighters arrived at the scene.

The fire broke out on the ground floor of the building, according to a spokesperson for the London Fire Brigade; nobody was injured and fire crews managed to contain the blaze in around 50 minutes. The ground floor of the building and a car, which was parked outside, were damaged, but there was no damage to the flats above the dental surgery.

The fire brigade sent four engines and more than 20 fire fighters to the incident; they arrived quickly after the 999 call and the fire was under control by 4.05pm.
