Members of staff and patients at an Exning dental practice have raised hundreds of pounds for the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

Staff from Olive Dental Care raised money during the National Smile Month campaign and recently presented the air ambulance with a cheque for £600.

Dr Buju Philip, practice manager, said that it was brilliant to be able to hand over the cheque in support of such a worthy cause. The practice staff decided to support the air ambulance because it relies solely on donations and support from the public and receive no government or lottery funding.

Dr Philip said that he had been informed that the money will be put towards a new helicopter. Dr Philip added that he was very grateful to all the patients and staff for their support of the National Smile Month campaign and their donations; the practice matched patient donations to reach the £600 total.
