Ewell teen suffers severe dental damage after terrifying park attack

A 14-year old boy from Ewell suffered severe dental damage in a terrifying attack in Gibraltar Recreation Ground on Friday 1st July.
The teenager was approached and assaulted by two boys in the park. His wallet and phone were stolen and four of his teeth were pushed into the gum tissue. Police have confirmed that the attack took place at around 4pm on the 1st July and are appealing for information from anyone who saw the two boys or noticed anything suspicious in the area at the time of the incident.
The victim attempted to walk away from one of the boys, who had asked him to give him his mobile phone, but he was assaulted as a result and suffered serious dental injuries. He required dental surgery to fix the damaged teeth. The attack was described as “horrifying” by Detective Constable Michael Barker from East Surrey Criminal Investigation Unit.
The suspects have been described as males aged between 16 and 18 years old. One was around 5’11 and the other a little taller. One wore a black bandana covering the mouth and tip of the nose and a black hooded top, while the other had a black beanie hat on. Both males were Caucasian.
