A dental practice that has been treating patients in Sheffield for more than 50 years has new owners.

Local dentists, Dr Ashish Khanna and Dr Sucheta Khanna, have taken over Handsworth Dental Care on Handsworth Road after its current owners decided to sell as part of their future retirement plans.

Dr Jason Dean and Dr Jacqueline Luscombe have owned the clinic since 2009.

Dr Luscombe said that it has been a great pleasure to work at the practice for the last 21 years and she is now looking forward to welcoming the new owners and working alongside them to continue to offer first-class dentistry to local patients.

Dr Luscombe and Dr Dean are both planning to stay at the practice for a few more years before taking retirement. They will be relinquishing management roles to focus on treating patients.

The new owners of Handsworth Dental Care said that they were “delighted” to be joining the team and taking over a practice that has an “excellent reputation” and a “fantastic patient base.” The plan is to continue building on the success of the past 50 years while also modernising and expanding the clinic.

The Khannas said they were thrilled to be teaming up with Drs Dean and Luscombe and looked forward to many successful years ahead.

The acquisition was overseen by Christie & Co.
