Sara Hurley, England’s chief dental officer, will host a second webinar to provide advice and guidance for dental professionals.

Following on from the first session, which attracted an audience of thousands, Sara Hurley will be hosting another live webinar on Friday 24th April from 4pm to 4.45pm. Ms Hurley will be joined by Matt Neligan, director of primary care and system transformation.

The aim of the session is to provide up-to-date advice and, most importantly, to respond to questions, queries and concerns at what is a very unsettling time for dentists and their patients across the country.

Anyone who wishes to pose a question can do so online via the chat function on Friday 24th April.

The first Coronavirus webinar took place 3 weeks ago and thousands of dental professional tuned in to hear the chief dental officer speak. Practices in England have been closed for several weeks now, and it is not certain when they will open again. The second webinar is expected to cover common questions about access to urgent dental care, PPE for dentists, easing lockdown measures and keeping practices afloat at a time when incomes have slumped.

In a recent interview, Ms Hurley said that any decisions about reopening dental practices would be based on scientific data and evidence, which will influence government policy-making.
