A dental team from Eastleigh donned wigs and fancy dress outfits for an 80’s themed party to raise money for charity.

The team from Boyatt Wood Dental Centre went back in time for the day to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. There were tutus, neon lycra and loud hairstyles aplenty and dentist, Dr Peter Saund dressed up as Adam Ant for the day.

The practice hosts an annual charity party and this is sixth time the team has embraced a theme to raise money for a good cause; previous parties include a Hawaiian fancy dress party, Christmas celebration and Halloween gathering.

The practice raised a total of £350, which will be now be passed on to Cancer Research.

Dr Saund said the fancy dress events are great fun for everyone involved and they also help patients to feel more relaxed and enable them to see the dental team as humans that like to have fun and laugh at themselves, rather than serious, scary dentists and nurses.
