Drop-in Dental Sessions for Kids in Milton Keynes

Sample News Big

The Milton Keynes Oral Health Promotion Team has reminded parents that dental drop-in sessions are still taking place in the area.

The drop-in sessions provide free dental care for children, as well as oral health education and the chance for parents to speak to members of the team about oral health. The appointments are designed for children who are not currently registered with a dentist.

The sessions are taking place at Sure Start centres in Fishermead, Netherfield and Conniburrow over the course of the next three weeks.

Children will be examined and a dentist will apply fluoride varnish to the teeth as a preventative measure, which helps to strengthen the teeth and protect them against decay. Children will also be given a toothbrush pack to help them take care of their teeth and gums.

Mel Foxall, from the Oral Health Promotion Team, said that the sessions are an ideal way for children and their parents to get involved in oral health and develop good oral hygiene habits.

Tips for good oral hygiene include brushing the teeth twice a day using fluoride toothpaste, lowering your intake of sugar and visiting a dentist on a regular basis.

Hello,
I’ve just moved to Milton Keynes and am looking for a dentist for my 2 kids. I would love to attend a drop in with my kids, but I need an address to find the place. Can anyone give me some specifics on where and when these drop ins take place? Thanks in advance!
