Drop-in Dental Clinic opens in Canary Wharf

A new drop-in dental clinic has opened in Canary Wharf.

The Smilepod is a walk-in dental clinic, which provides a range of oral hygiene services and cosmetic treatments. There are already branches in Bank and Covent Garden.

The Smilepods are the invention of Mike Hutter, who claims that he came up with the idea when he realised that dental services were not accessible in the same way as services provided by nail bars or beauty salons. The Smilepod provides the treatments that people want, rather than the treatments people need, which are provided by general dental clinics. The Smilepod is designed to give people a whiter, brighter smile.

Mr Hutter said that Smilepod has enjoyed great success because people appreciate the convenience and the clinics are located in areas that are easily accessible. The clinics are designed to be straight-forward, with the price list shown at the reception area and clients can simply choose the treatment they want. In the majority of cases, patients do not have to join a waiting list but if an appointment is not available at the time, clients can arrange to go back later in the day.
