Doncaster Dental Practice Urges Patients to Book Regular Check-Ups

The team from a Doncaster dental practice is urging patients to make a New Year’s resolution to make regular dental appointments.

Dentists from mydentist on York Street are encouraging existing patients to arrange regular check-ups and patients who don’t currently have a dentist to get in touch.

The call comes after research conducted by the British Dental Health Foundation revealed a sharp spike in the number of people who have not seen a dentist for more than 5 years. Dentists recommend at least one check per year and going for several years without having a routine check-up is likely to put both dental and general health at risk.

Practice manager Jane Gety said that the impact of missing out on routine dental care is clearly visible and this is a great time to make a vow to keep up to date with routine dental checks. The BDHF survey revealed that people who go to the dentist regularly have a 60% lower risk of developing decay compare to those who rarely visit a dental practice.

The mydentist practice is currently accepting new NHS patients. The dental team has expertise in treating nervous patients and the surgery is modern, bright and welcoming.
