Dental professionals and friends and family members of Dr Anoop Maini are gearing up for a charity walk, which will take place in memory of the much-loved dentist this Sunday. On September 15th, hundreds of people will gather in Regents Park, London to pay tribute to Dr Maini, who tragically passed away last month.

The walk will be a chance for former colleagues, friends and family to pay tribute to the much-missed dentist, as well as an opportunity to raise funds for Wells on Wheels. Dr Maini launched the initiative in June, with a crowd-funding venture raising a staggering £20,000 in just 30 days.

Wells to Wheels funds the distribution of water drums on wheels in India, and provides respite for people, most commonly women, who would ordinarily walk for miles carrying water buckets on their heads and shoulders.

Dr Anoop Maini was a highly-respected dentist, who was considered a pioneer in his profession, especially within the field of cosmetic dentistry. His sudden death rocked the dental world, and large crowds are expected to attend the event on Sunday.

Registration will open at 11am and the sponsored walk will begin at 12pm. Participants will be completing the course carrying bottles of water to get an idea of how it feels to have to cart water buckets across miles of tracks around India’s rural villages. The walk has been organised by marketing expert, Shaz Memon in partnership with Dr Maini’s wife and family.
