Dentist, Simon Nocton, has signed up to take part in a gruelling cycle challenge to raise money for an oral cancer charity.

Simon has signed up for the Deloitte Ride Across Britain event and will cycle from Land’s End to John O’Groats hoping to raise £5000 for The Facial Surgery Foundation- Saving Faces, a charity that raises money for oral cancer research and the prevention and treatment of other facial injuries and conditions.

Simon is being sponsored by Straumann and he decided to take part in the ride to try and raise awareness of oral cancer and help towards research costs to find effective treatments for the disease, which is becoming more common in the UK. Simon said that he has seen too many cases of oral cancer over the course of the last few years and he is eager to support the charity, which supports individuals and their families and helps to spread the message that early diagnosis is key.

Simon decided to ask Straumann for support because they have worked together for many years. The event will take place between the 8th and 16th September and anyone who wants to support Simon can visit his Just Giving page.
