Dentist Promotes Book That Claims Brushing Your Teeth Makes You Live Longer

Richard Guyver, a dentist and author from Hayling Island, claims that brushing your teeth can make you live longer.

Mr Guyver has written a book entitled, Live Another 4,006 Days and Improve Your Health With Dental Medicine’, in which he describes how cleaning your teeth can help to prolong your life.

The book is aimed at the public, rather than dentists, although many dentists will find the book very interesting reading.

Mr Guyver said that there is a huge amount of information and evidence to support the importance of good oral health, but most of it is not available in the public domain and for this reason, awareness of the link between oral health and general health conditions is relatively poor.

The book has been made to be an enjoyable, interesting and relatively straight-forward read by removing a lot of the medical and dental jargon and setting out the facts.

Conclusions are made within the book, which states that good oral hygiene can help to increase your life expectancy by 4,006 days.  Guyver used a table, which contains data about the average loss of time, in terms of life span, for different health conditions, including diabetes, high blood pressure and cancer and the average was 4,006. The book also explains how healthy lifestyle choices affect the mouth.

Mr Guyver’s book is available on Amazon.
