Dentist lists extensive collection of equipment on auction site to raise funds for charity
A dentist with over 30 years of experience in the industry has listed an extensive collection of equipment online to raise money for charity.
Dr Julian Perry is selling his impressive collection on auction site, eBay, to raise funds for Dentaid.
Dr Perry graduated from the University of Birmingham in 1983 and over the course of the last 30 years, he has collected a vast array of instruments and equipment. An award-winning implant dentist, Dr Perry boasts an illustrious career. As well as being one of the UK’s leading implant dentists, Dr Perry is also a former president of the Cosmetic Dental Association and he also opened Europe’s first dental centre in the Selfridges store in London.
Now that Dr Perry has stopped seeing patients, he has decided to use his collection to raise valuable funds for Dentaid. Dentaid is a charity that runs programmes across the UK and in several countries all over the world, providing access to dental care and supplies for those in need. Dr Perry said that dentistry had been good to him and he wanted to give back. Selling the equipment, which he no longer needs, seemed like a great way to support a good cause.
The online auction will be managed by Dental Hygienics and Decontamination Ltd. The listings include a saddle stool, lower extraction forceps, bone curettes and periosteal elevators, a Durr Vista Scan Don Perio, Durr V300 suction motor 2006, Mectron Piezo surgery unit and a Nobel Biocare Osseo Set 100 implant system.
