A brave dental team from Benson are preparing for a 100ft abseil from a hospital structure for Fund For Children.

Staff from Imogen Dental are to abseil from John Radcliffe Hospital’s women’s centre in Oxford this Sunday. 13 people will be taking part in the charity event to raise money for Fund For Children.

Dr Neel Tank, director and owner of the practice, says that the team are all very excited. He is extremely proud of his staff and believes that they are definitely enthusiastic about the challenge.

Dr Tank wants to help the hospital that his wife Laura spent a fortnight in after giving birth to their daughter Imogen in 2011. They are both passionate about supporting the hospital for all the hard work carried out by the staff.

Imogen Dental’s charity work began earlier in the year. Lesley Sparrow, hygienist at the practice, undertook voluntary work in India, working with underprivileged children. She helped them with issues such as their diet and oral hygiene.

Following this, Dr Tank and his wife travelled to Nevada to take part in a 15,000ft tandem skydive. Dr Tank plans to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro in 2015.

The dental team are not far off their target for the abseil – they have already raised around £14,000 from online donations and collections at the practice. They aim to reach £15,000 by the weekend.
