Dental Team Raises Cash For Local Hospice
A dental team from Barkingside has donated hundreds of pounds to a local hospice.
Members of staff at Bluebell Dental Practice in Tomswood Hill, Barkingside, decided to celebrate the 10th birthday of the practice by raising money for Haven House, a children’s hospice based in the grounds of Woodford Green Hospice.
Dr Suki Shakthi was joined by fellow team members, Nirali Patel and Yvonne Lixenberg presented Mike Palfreman, from Haven House, with a cheque for £500. Dr Shakthi said that it was a great honour to support such an important local charity and to help children and families affected by serious illnesses. Dr Shakthi also thanked all the patients for their kind donations and members of staff for their fundraising efforts.
Mr Palfreman thanked the practice for their donation and said that it was great that local businesses are supporting the hospice, which relies on donations. The hospice cares for children with life-limiting conditions and illnesses, as well as providing support for their parents and families.
Haven House is also celebrating its 10th anniversary and Mr Palfreman said that the donation from Bluebell Dental Practice was a “great way to celebrate.”
