Dental team featured in BBC documentary all smiles thanks to awards success
A dental team, which featured in a BBC documentary is all smiles thanks to success at a recent awards ceremony.
The team from Kissdental, which appeared on ‘The Truth About Your Teeth’ walked away with four awards at the Dentistry Awards, including the much-coveted title of Best Dental Team. Kiss Dental has clinics in Manchester, Altrincham, and Flixton, and employs a total of 24 members of staff.
Principal dental nurse, Mia Larsen-Marshall was particularly pleased with the outcome of the awards event, as she was crowned the Most Outstanding Individual in Dentistry in recognition of her expertise in dental implant treatment.
Kissdental’s principal dentist and resident expert on Cosmetic Dentistry Guide, Kailesh Solanki appeared on the BBC when news of a story involving a woman who had used superglue to repair her teeth for years, broke. Angie Barlow, from Altrincham, required extensive restorative treatment after relying on her own DIY skills rather than seeing a dentist. Angie sought help from Dr Solanki, and the pair appeared on the show to talk about her journey.
Dr Solanki said that everyone was delighted with the collection of awards, which recognise the hard work and commitment the team have put in over the last year. The team pulls together, and everyone works for each other, and it’s wonderful to achieve such prestigious accolades. Kailesh also added that he was particularly pleased for Mia, who had beaten off competition from many other dental professionals to win the crown of Most Outstanding Individual in Dentistry, a title her boss firmly believes she deserves.
