Dental records have been used to identify a body found in swampland near Detroit.

The body of 62 year old banker David Widlak was identified using dental records; the body was severely decayed. Widlak had been missing since September 15th when he was seen at the Mount Clemens Community Central Bank Corporation offices. Mr Widlak’s car was in the parking lot when he was last seen.

Macomb County Sheriff, Mark Hackel, said that the case is being treated as homicide, despite the fact that no weapons were found near the body and the cause of death has yet to be identified. An autopsy has revealed that there were no signs of blunt trauma; the results of toxicology tests are pending.

Mr Widlak’s wife Anne said she was thankful that her husband’s body had been found, although the family had been praying for a more positive outcome. They are now planning to pay for a private autopsy.

Ray Colonius, chief executive officer of Community Central Bank, said that everyone at the company was deeply saddened by the news and sent best wishes and condolences to the family.
