Dundee-based dental firm 3D Diagnostic Imaging has issued a warning after technical troubles caused share values to tumble yesterday.

The company announced that manufacturing had stopped after a defect was identified on the company’s best-selling product, the CarieScan Pro; however, the firm have confirmed that the defect has been corrected and the device is now back on sale. However, sales figures have now been altered and total sales are expected to be around £700,000 instead of £1.2 million, which was previously predicted by house broker, FinnCap.

The Scottish firm has enjoyed great success in recent months, sealing major deals with distributors in countries across the world for the innovative CarieScan pro device, which detects early signs of decay. The firm also announced that executives were in discussion with potential investors to try and improve the state of the balance sheets and make efficiency savings.
