Dental duo taking on London Marathon for charity
A dental nurse and a hygienist from Dorset are taking on the London marathon to raise money for charity.
Melanie Ward, a dental nurse and Mandy Burley, a dental hygienist, are being joined by their friend Josie for the race, which will take place on the 17th April.
Mandy will run for Beating Bowel Cancer and Melanie and Josie will run in aid of Weldmar Hospicecare; the trio are hoping to raise thousands of pounds for their respective charities. Melanie is running in memory of her father, who died from cancer ten years ago; he was cared for by staff at the Joseph Weld centre. Melanie said that the charity was close to her heart and she hoped that she could raise as much money as possible to help them continue their amazing work.
