Queensway Dental Clinic has opened a new education facility to cater for increased demand for training facilities in the Billingham area.

The new Education Centre has resources and facilities to cater for 30 delegates, a range of courses and events and postgraduate training. The owners of Queensway Dental Clinic will join forces with a number of local organisations and educational institutions, including Warwick University and Nobel Biocare.

The clinic will be working closely with Warwick University to deliver training courses, including the General Implant Forum and Training, which is part of the MSc course in Implant Dentistry.

The clinic is also gearing up to provide training in line with qualifications from the National Accreditation Board for Dental Nurses and programmes will include Dental Sedation Nursing, Oral Health Education and Dental Radiography.

The first series of lectures is scheduled to take place later this year and the clinic will be revealing information about training days and courses in the near future. Information will also be published online.

Paul Averley, partner at the Queensway Dental Clinic, said that he was “thrilled” that the Education Centre was now open and was looking forward to building on the success of 2011.
